HEAR FROM SOME OF OUR MEMBERS!

Meet Evie!

Evie joined Undead Voice Lab in early 2021 after trying out YouTube resouces and was overwhelmed. She joined Undead Voice Lab for feedback from a voice expert, and structure to her voice transition.

Evie has learned patience and willingness to embarrass herself are key to transitioning her voice, and has been SHOCKED by the progress she’s made.

Join Evie in Undead Voice Lab and find the voice that aligns with your identity!

Meet Jenn!

I joined Undead Voice Lab because of inconsistencies in my voice. I tried YouTube videos but they didn’t explain the techniques or give me the tools to understand how to change my voice. The goal of my voice is more than aligning with my gender. It's finding a voice that coincides with who I am, and how I identify as a person.

Undead Voice Lab’s structure and methodology explain why you're doing what you're doing. If you’re want to transition your voice, Undead Voice Lab will strengthen your vocal ability with the correct tools to find your particular voice. Nicole goes through each step with an explanation of why you do it that way, not just gimmicky techniques of how to match a note on a piano.

So really the question is will you join me on this journey and join Undead Voice Lab? I hope so, I'll see you there!

Meet Mikaela!

My voice so far has been the biggest source of dysphoria for me. I can pass fairly well in any public or social situation until I start talking.

I’ve explored a wide variety of voice methodologies from online courses to YouTube videos and even private lessons with a voice instructor and haven’t been able to put anything together. After spending some time with Nicole going through the learning structure, course curriculum and all the tools that I would have at my disposal, I decided to give UVL a try.

So far in Undead Voice Lab, I’ve discovered how important muscle flexibility and vocal tract health is in producing an overall good quality sound regarding vocal expression. If I had to pick one thing in the program that's had the most impact on the sound quality of my voice it would be the detailed stretching and warm up routine which provides a solid foundation to allow for a more productive learning experience.”

Meet Charlie!

I felt stuck with where my voice was, and I didn’t know how to get it where I wanted it.
I joined the Undead Voice Lab crew for the structure it provides while learning to control your voice. Everything is in one place, there are weekly goals, there’s less jumping around, and there’s feedback on your voice.

I would recommend this program to someone looking to transition their voice. The structure has been a lifesaver to get me actually working on my voice. I feel like I have a solid plan and goals I can make, rather than hoping what I'm doing will eventually work. The way The Lab encourages you to practice also works really well for busy schedules. I get my practice in throughout the day and still have time for other activities.

My biggest vocal insight so far in Undead Voice Lab has been how important hydration and throat care are for my voice. Drink water and don't clear your throat!

Meet Samantha!

Hey! I'm Samantha Evelyn, I'm 27, and live in Los Angeles with my cat, Sycamore. I work in non-profit fundraising and I enjoy playing piano and swing dancing.

When I joined Undead Voice Lab my goal for my voice was to have a haunting, enchanting, and dreamy voice with feminine energy that is also assertive, confident, and effortless.

After working with Nicole for a year, I've been able to achieve the voice of my dreams. I am always gendered correctly when I speak, and I get compliments on my speaking voice all the time!

"Hey, I'm Allie. I recently came out as gender fluid/trans. I know something holding me back was not feeling like my voice matches what I feel inside.

After how crazy the last year has been I realized you never know what will happen in life, so you might as well just be yourself and live to the fullest.

After being stuck at the beginning of my journey for so long trying to do it on my own, I just wanted to connect with a good coach, and other people working on their voices. So I took the plunge and joined Undead Voice Lab.

I love how friendly and accepting everyone is and we all help each other practice and learn. My main goal is to be able to go back and forth in my voice, so I was glad Undead Voice Lab teaches the whole range of voice.”

— Allie, 49 | trans woman

"Hey everyone, I'm Gianna. I'm finishing my medical residency in Virginia.

The main reason I joined Undead Voice Lab was to find a space where other people were also working on their voice and would understand my struggles on this journey.

I felt stuck and didn’t know where to begin. I was overwhelmed by all the online videos and forums telling you the best way to create your own voice. I was tired of my masculine voice and excited to discover one that’s more me.

These past 12 months in Undead voice Lab gave me the resources and practice I needed to do just that, and I can ecstatically say I'm using my feminine transitioned voice full time at work with my patients, and in life."

what the FAQ am i in for?

why the FAQ is Undead Voice Lab different?

We have candy. JK. Our program is the long-awaited middle ground between YouTube madness and very expensive one-on-one voice coaching. You’ll move through our customized pathways which tell you what to do, how to do it and when to move on. We’re here with you every step of the way, tracking your progress like a jealous lover. Our bi-weekly office hours are a safe space to address any questions, get personalized feedback and receive support from other students.

is Undead Voice Lab right for me?

That’s a great question and one only you can answer. Transitioning your voice requires accountability, self-awareness, and discipline. But don’t be anxious, we’ll help with that and you always have the community of like-minded individuals for support, encouragement and the occasional kiki. So If you’re ready to fully transition your voice and just do the damn thing already, then yes. Undead Voice Lab is for you. If you’re looking for a bag of tricks, or an overnight miracle, then maybe not. But then that doesn’t exist anyway.

i’m FAQ’ing impatient. How long does it take to make progress?

Each course in Undead Voice Lab focuses on a different feature of your voice transition. You will have successfully incorporated a new skill into your voice at the end of each course, so your voice will change as you complete your coursework. Translation: you start to hear the change in your voice fast, through a series of wins, rather than waiting months to hear progress.

Most of our members accomplish the bulk of their voice work in the first six months, with the remainder of the time spent polishing and honing YOUR true sound.

what’s the daily time and energy commitment?

Most of our practice exercises are designed to be incorporated easily into your daily routine. Some lessons require us to “drill and kill” a new skill (alibi not included) which you can practice while taking a shower, testing out Tiktok’s infamous quesadilla hack or going for a late night drive. We recommend you set aside 10-15 minutes a day for voice work. And let’s be honest, you’ve already been on Instagram for an hour and a half and it’s only noon. We can make time for this.

can you make me sound like Scarlett Johansson?

Undead Voice Lab is designed to help you find your voice, not an echo. You’ll identify your personalized voice goals and then achieve them.  No two voices are alike. No two voice transitions are alike. There is only one you and we’re excited to celebrate that.

Instead of sounding like ScarJo, we’ll teach you how to identify what specific aspects of her voice you admire, and how to recreate them within your own, so you can decide if they align with your identity, or not.

i still need to use my dead voice, will I be able to?

Our methodology teaches you to expand your vocal range so you can choose how your voice presents. If you need to maintain access to your baseline register, or dead voice, you 100% can do that. We’ll teach you to use your voice as a soundboard with a series of knobs and sliders that are at your control. You won’t lose anything through our program, only gain.

my egg just cracked, is now a good time to focus on my voice or should I wait?

Voice is one of the areas of a transition that takes the longest and as such is one of the first things people typically focus on. Even if your egg just cracked, you're not on hormones, or not a soul in the world has had the pleasure of meeting your true self yet, voice is an excellent place to start exploring your identity.

i’m still stealth and not comfortable practicing at home.

Think of The Lab as your new best friend. Download the app, grab your headphones and practice on the go. Take The Lab on a walk, in the car, or to a picnic at the park, no wifi required.

how the FAQ am I supposed to practice my voice?

This is one of the many reasons we integrated a community into our membership. Join a weekly practice group, or pop into the office hours so you have an opportunity to socialize and practice your transitioning voice in a safe space with people who understand and support you.

what if I need to take a break?

Life, right? Because Undead Voice Lab now offers lifetime access to the program, community, and coaching, you can pick it up and put it down as you need. No more worrying about keeping up or falling behind!

what if I invest in the membership and realize it’s not for me?

We know that the decision to commit to a year-long program can be intimidating. However, we're so confident Undead Voice Lab is the missing piece to your voice transition puzzle that we offer a "love it or leave it" 2-week money back guarantee. If you start the program and realize, "holy shit, I'm not ready for this" or "now that I think about it, I'm cool with my voice," you can get a refund, no questions asked.
